Congratulations to Hawkins Teacher Cassandra deWood. Ms. deWood was selected as the California State Science Teacher of the Year at the State Science Fair on May 3, 2011. In addition, Jefferson School District had three students who placed at the State Science Fair.
Congratulations to Grit Walthers' class at Traina Elementary who, for the second year in a row, took first place in the 2011 Fifth-Grade Comcast Reading Challenge for reading the most pages of any class in Modesto, Stockton and Tracy.
